respect creators' rights

Effective July 15, 2026

Stix users may publish only content they created or have permission to use. We review complete copyright complaints and remove or restrict infringing material when warranted.

before sending a complaint

Copyright protects original expression, but not every dispute is infringement. Consider whether the use is licensed, authorized by law, or otherwise permitted. You may want to obtain legal advice if you are unsure. Knowingly making a false or misleading report can have legal consequences.

submit a copyright notice

Send a notice with the subject “Copyright Notice” to [email protected] with all of the following:

  1. Your full legal name and your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed, or a representative list if one notice covers multiple works.
  3. The Stix pack, sticker, or profile URL and enough detail for us to locate each item you want reviewed.
  4. Your mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

If email is unavailable, contact support to request another delivery method. Incomplete notices may delay our response.

what happens next

We may ask for clarification, restrict or remove the identified content, and notify the user who posted it. We may share the complaint with that user so they can understand and respond to the claim, with sensitive information limited when reasonably possible.

respond to a removal

If your content was removed because of a copyright complaint and you believe the action was a mistake or that you have authorization, email [email protected]. Identify the removed content, explain the basis for your response, include supporting permission or license information, and provide your contact details. We may forward your response to the complainant and may restore content when appropriate and legally permitted.

repeat infringement

Stix may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights, taking into account the circumstances and any valid responses or retractions. We may also act immediately in serious cases.
